Meet the Founder
Shena Lee-Anthony
Chartered Rehabilitation Physiotherapist & Health and Wellbeing Coach
Caring has been part of who I am for as long as I can remember.
As a child, I delighted in looking after my little menagerie of animals, from kittens and puppies to rabbits, and I must not forget the goats. Looking after something, noticing what it needed and helping it thrive always came naturally to me.
That instinct eventually became a career.
I gained my BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy from Brunel University and went on to build a career in rehabilitation, supporting people through some of the most vulnerable and challenging periods of their lives.
My philosophy
True rehabilitation requires more than exercises and functional retraining.
Physical recovery takes place within a whole human being.
Our ability to recover is influenced by the foundations that support health and capacity: nutrition, restorative rest, energy, emotional regulation, confidence, daily habits, social connection and the demands of everyday life.
These elements can make an enormous difference to how someone experiences recovery, yet they are not always given enough attention within conventional rehabilitation programmes.
That understanding is what shaped Whole Life Rehab.
My approach to rehabilitation
I believe in treating the person in front of me as a whole, rather than simply treating a diagnosis or condition.
A stroke may have affected your movement, but you are more than your stroke.
A period in hospital may have reduced your strength, but recovery may also involve rebuilding your confidence, routines, energy and belief in what is possible.
Burnout may have depleted your capacity, and recovery can involve restoring far more than energy alone.
I want to understand what matters to you.
- What do you want to return to?
- What has become difficult?
- What would feeling stronger, more independent or more like yourself mean in your everyday life?
My role is to listen, understand and work collaboratively with you to build a realistic recovery plan around your health, your priorities and the life you want to live.
Bringing rehabilitation and health coaching together
Looking beyond one part of recovery
My work as both a Chartered Rehabilitation Physiotherapist and Health and Wellbeing Coach allows me to look beyond one part of recovery.
Depending on what you need, we may work on physical strength, mobility and functional ability alongside the wider foundations that support recovery, including energy, healthy routines, confidence, sleep, nutrition and sustainable behaviour change.
This approach ultimately led to the development of The Heal Well Method™, my structured whole-person approach to helping people rebuild after illness, injury, hospitalisation or significant changes in health.
Beyond work
The things that keep me connected to living well
Family is at the heart of my life, and some of the things I value most are simply spending time with the people I love.
I also love singing jazz, getting out on my motorcycle and exploring somewhere new, and Latin dancing whenever I get the chance.
For me, living well is about more than being free from illness. It is about having the health, energy and confidence to stay connected to the people, experiences and activities that bring meaning, purpose and joy.
That belief is woven into the way I practise rehabilitation. I want recovery to help people return to more of their life, not simply achieve better clinical measurements.
What you can expect from me
- You can expect me to listen.
- You can expect your goals to matter.
- You can expect us to work collaboratively rather than having recovery done to you.
- You can expect me to see the person first.
I am here to listen and to serve you, working alongside you as you rebuild strength, confidence, independence and capacity for the life that matters to you.
